澎湖縣是中華民國臺灣省的離島縣，位於臺灣海峽上，並以澎湖水道與臺灣本島相互遙望。全縣由澎湖群島所組成。由於地理、國防軍事戰略位置極佳，自古以來便是往來臺灣海峽的船隻中繼站、與各方經濟和軍事爭奪的要地。全縣四面環海，居民主要是以漁業維生；礦產則以文石為主，但近年來大力推動觀光產業。

Penghu County is an outlying counties in Taiwan Province of the Republic of China, located in the Taiwan Strait, and the Penghu waterway and Taiwan's island each other look. The county consists of the Penghu Islands. Due to its excellent geographical and defense military strategy, it has served as a ship relay station to and from the Taiwan Strait since ancient times and has become a venue for economic and military contention with all parties. Surrounded by the sea all over the county, residents mainly rely on fisheries to survive; while the mineral is mainly aragonite, but in recent years vigorously promote the tourism industry.
